Join us Thursday March 26th for a presention by Robin Lunger ‘Clothing Construction with Handwovens and Lightweight knits’
Robin's presentation is entitled The Nancy Lind Project - Sewing a garment using Nancy’s Handwoven fabric.
The program will showcase the fabric Nancy created during a MAFA workshop with Peg McDade in 2007. Unfortunately, Nancy is no longer with us but her handwoven fabric is, and from it, Robin has fashioned a wonderful vest for her husband.
The talk will feature ways of stabilizing handwoven materials to ensure their stability and function within the garment.

Program – ‘Show and Sell’
We will be demonstrating at the Landis Valley Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 13. We have also signed up as a vender! If you would like another place to sell your handmade items, this would be worth trying.
For the meeting:
A lot of us are hesitant to put our work in shows or sales because the work is not perfect. If we demanded perfection, there would be very few craft shows. But how much imperfection is too much?
Bring some of your handmade items. We will talk about a “good enough” piece, then pair up and look carefully at your friend’s work and your own. You will probably be harder on your own work!
